UMBRAL is a research creation project by Isabella Salas in collaboration with Alexandre Nunace, developed in dialogue with the KOSMICA Institute in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, during the 2026 total solar eclipse.

Taking place from August 10 to 13, 2026, the research unfolds through field observation, embodied practice, image making, sound, and speculative reflection. UMBRAL considers it as a living event that invites attention to cycles, planetary relations, and the fragile ways humans orient themselves within cosmic time.
